40 seconds of talking. Nothing sent until you've checked it.

What it is

A phone app that turns talking into paperwork.

JustGraft is for UK tradespeople working for themselves — sparks, plumbers, joiners, builders, groundworkers. You talk; it writes. Quotes, invoices, expenses and the digital tax records HMRC now expects, all out of the same thirty seconds of speaking. iPhone and Android, works with no signal, everything kept on your phone.

What it does

In the app from day one

  • Turns a spoken job into a job record, then a quote, then an invoice
  • Gets CIS and VAT right — labour/materials split, 20% or 30%, reverse charge
  • Sends the invoice as a link your customer can pay by card or bank
  • Logs expenses out loud and files them under the right category
  • Keeps your MTD digital records and sends the quarterly update

What it isn't

Deliberately left out

  • A job planner or diary — it keeps records of jobs, it doesn't run your week
  • A crew system — no dispatch, timesheets or staff scheduling
  • Your year-end tax return — that stays with you or your accountant
  • An accounting package to learn — no ledgers, no chart of accounts
  • A website you log into — it's a proper app, built for the van

Short version: if it's paperwork you'd otherwise do at the kitchen table on a Sunday night, it's in. If it's running a business with staff, it isn't — and that's on purpose.

How it works

Van to invoice in three moves

STEP 1

Talk the job

Tap the mic and say what you did — customer, time, materials. In the van, on site, no signal needed. It syncs when you're back in coverage.

STEP 2

Check it

JustGraft builds the quote or invoice and flags anything it isn't certain about in amber. Nothing goes near your records — or HMRC — until you've confirmed every flag.

STEP 3

Send it, get paid

CIS and VAT handled, PDF straight to WhatsApp or email, a pay-now link on every invoice — and the tax record files itself in the background.

Making Tax Digital

The tax rules are changing. Your evenings don't have to.

From April 2026, self-employed tradespeople over the income line must keep digital records and send HMRC a summary every quarter. JustGraft keeps the records as you speak — and files the quarterly update from the same app.

APRIL 2026 £50,000+ self-employment income — digital records & quarterly updates required
APRIL 2027 £30,000+ the second wave — most established trades are in scope here
APRIL 2028 £20,000+ the third wave — nearly every full-time sole trader

Quarterly updates due 7 Aug · 7 Nov · 7 Feb · 7 May — JustGraft reminds you, then files it.

Built for the tools

The boring bits, done properly

CIS done right

Labour and materials split automatically, 20% or 30% deduction shown correctly on every invoice — the subbie maths handled for you.

VAT without the head-scratching

Standard, zero-rated or domestic reverse charge — the right treatment and the right wording on the invoice, every time.

Works with no signal

Everything lives on your phone first. Speak the job in a basement or a field; it catches up the moment you're back in coverage.

Paid faster

Every invoice goes out as a link your customer can open, download — and pay on the spot by card or bank.

Expenses out loud

“Twenty quid on cable clips, Screwfix” — said at the counter, categorised and in your records before you've left the car park.

Quarterly update, filed in-app

Your digital records build themselves as you work; when the deadline comes, the quarterly summary goes to HMRC from the app.

Pricing

One price. Everything in.

£19/month
or £149/year — two months free

No tiers, no per-invoice fees, no “premium” tax features. If it does your paperwork, it's included.
